CENTREVILLE
– U.S. Rep. Fred Upton is visiting the Glen Oaks Community College in Centreville on August 9 at 10 a.m.
Upton’s visit is to announce a $900,000 grant he is giving the university to implement a safe and effective distance learn with an emphasis on dual credit students in high schools.
A feature of the grant is the installation of videoconferencing technically in Glen Oaks classrooms to allow instructor to broadcast their lessons life.
The event will be held at the Dresser Business Development Auditorium on campus.
