GARRETT – A Dekalb County man hit a deer on his motorcycle Sunday night just before 10 p.m.

Jordan R. Gunion 24 of Garrett collided with the deer northbound on I69 around mile maker 325.

A deer entered the roadway from the east and Gunion’s 2004 Honda B60 struck the deer and went into the median where he tossed off the bike while it continued to slide down the median.

Gunion was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center for injuries to his shoulder and right arm.
