(ANGOLA) – A weekend event to help a local organization was a success.
The fourth annual Angola’s Got Talent was held Saturday at the T. Furth Center for the Performing Arts. The event is a fundraiser for Cahoots Coffee Cafe, which is a non profit youth outreach in Angola.
Fifteen acts performed for cash prizes, ushered in by seasoned local emcees - former Mayor Richard Hickman and the Rev. Tom Adamson, who serves on the Cahoots Board of Directors. This year’s judges were June Julien of the Steuben County Tourism Bureau, Rebecca Thompson; George Gilbert; and Lou Ann Homan.
This years include in the Adult Division, Jennifer and Autumn Love First Place; Jessica Witmer Second Place; and Maxine Aldrin Third Place. In the Youth Division, Emagene Harrington was First Place; Ivy Witmer was Second Place and Lauren Ray was Third Place and the People’s Choice Winner.
