(COLDWATER) – Republican voters have selected the four individuals they want to run for seats on the Branch County Commission.
In District 1, Incumbent Randall Hazelbaker defeated Jessica Green 79 to 51 (60.7% to 39.2%).
In District 2, Incumbent Jon Houtz beat challenger John Towers 681 to 370 (64.6% to 35.1%).
In District 4, Rick Hollister was the top voter getter with 812 (66.5%). Richard Swanson had 278 votes (22.7%) and Brett Burtrum collected 124 votes (10.1%). Former District 4 Commissioner Tom Matthew gave up the seat when he announced he was running for the 35th District Seat in the Michigan House of Representatives.
In District 5, Incumbent Alan McClellan defeated David Mansfield 683 to 552 (55.1% to 44.5%).
Incumbent District 3 Commissioner Tim Stoll ran unopposed for the Republican nomination and received 1,013 votes (99.8%).
