(BRONSON) – Authorities say they have identified the individuals who broke into the Bronson Jr./Sr. High School building in the overnight hours on Monday.
Bronson Superintendent Kate Wall says the people who broke into the building have been identified and all of the items stolen have been recovered, including all building keys.
When students and staff arrived Tuesday morning and learned of the break in, Wall says the schools were closed and all students were sent home. Following the dismissal of the student, Bronson Community Schools administration the Bronson Police Department conducted a thorough investigation into the matter.
They along with a Michigan State Police Canine Unit swept the Jr./Sr. High School Building. In addition, they confirmed there was no forced or unforced entries at any other District building and confirmed that no physical damage occurred during the break in.
Wall says all exterior doors throughout the District were re-keyed, as were all of the interior doors at the Jr./Sr. High School.
Wall says the School District continues to work in coordination with law enforcement during their investigation. She says the District has also been in contact with their legal team to ensure those involved are held accountable for their actions.
Classes at all Bronson School District buildings resumed as normal today.
