(PULASKI TOWNSHIP) - Three people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night at the intersection of U.S. 127 and U.S. 6 in Williams County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Defiance Post says the crash happened around 8:56 p.m. when a southbound 2018 Nissan Altima failed to yield while making a left turn at the intersection. A northbound 2005 Pontiac Vibe struck the vehicle.

The Nissan was driven by James M. Hays, 52, of Pioneer, while the Pontiac was driven by Clint P. Krill, 46, of Ney. Both drivers suffered serious injuries. A front-seat passenger in the Nissan, Jamie L. Nash, 39, of Stryker, was also seriously injured.

All three were transported by Williams County EMS to Parkview Hospital in Bryan. Krill and Nash were later flown to hospitals in Toledo for additional treatment.

Northbound lanes of U.S. 127 were closed for nearly three hours while crews worked the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

The Williams County Sheriff's Office, Bryan Fire Department, Williams County EMS, and John's Towing and Repair assisted at the scene.
