(ANGOLA) - Trine University's first group of Associate of Science in Nursing graduates has achieved a 100% pass rate on the national licensure exam for registered nurses.
University officials announced that every graduate in the inaugural ASN cohort successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination, commonly known as the NCLEX. The milestone follows the program's first commencement, held in December.
The ASN program launched in 2023 through a partnership with Cameron Health. Courses are held at the Joyce and Al Gutstein Education Innovation Center on Cameron's campus, as well as on Trine's Angola campus. The program expanded this past fall to Trine's Brooks College of Health Professions facility in Fort Wayne.
Trine officials said the program emphasizes hands-on experience, individualized instruction, and modern facilities to prepare students for careers in nursing. Graduates are eligible to work as registered nurses after passing the NCLEX and may continue their education through Trine's RN-to-BSN or master's degree programs.
University leaders said the success of the first cohort reflects both student commitment and faculty support, and they expect graduates to make an immediate impact in healthcare settings across the region.
