(MI, OH, IN) - The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is making its way through our area this weekend -- but don't expect it to stop.

The festive train will travel overnight Saturday, November 22nd into early Sunday, November 23rd as it moves from Detroit toward Chicago, lighting up dozens of communities along the way. Although no performances or public stops are scheduled on the U.S. portion of this route, the train itself is outfitted with thousands of lights and is a major holiday spectacle.

Before crossing into the United States, the Holiday Train is expected to arrive in Windsor, Ontario late Saturday afternoon. Afterward, the train will head to Detroit to clear U.S. customs. Officials stress that all times are estimates, and the schedule can shift significantly due to customs or other delays. A live Holiday Train tracker will go online once the program officially begins. The train's tour stretches across Canada and the U.S. from November 19th through December 21st.

Fans are reminded to enjoy the view from a safe distance, stay clear of the tracks, and be cautious -- especially if you're catching a glimpse late at night.
