\(MICHIGAN CITY) - A Michigan City man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he brought explosive devices to a church and made threats.
According to WNDU, officers responded to Full Gospel Church on Ohio Street after a report that 41-year-old Matthew Schutz was heading there with weapons.
Police say Schutz was taken into custody as he tried to leave the church and was found with multiple explosive devices.
Investigators later searched his home and say they found additional materials used to make explosives.
Authorities say he also allegedly planned to target another individual and their family.
Schutz is charged with attempted murder, possession of explosive devices, stalking, and resisting law enforcement. He is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
