(AUBURN) - May has been designated as the 12th annual Pink Out Month in DeKalb County.
The county-wide campaign raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research, prevention, and patient support.

A mayoral proclamation is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 at Auburn City Chambers.
Other events include the Pink Out Gala on May 8 at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and a golf outing on May 17.
Pink Out Day is set for Thursday, May 21 in downtown Auburn, coinciding with the ACD Festival Kickoff and Cruise-In. Activities include mobile mammography from 1 to 6 p.m., live music from 6 to 8 p.m., and a health and wellness fair from 6 to 8 p.m.
A new addition this year is a Survivors Lounge, scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. May 21 at McIntyre Place, 116 South Jackson Street.
Residents are encouraged to wear pink and attend events throughout the month.
