(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana is rolling out an expanded healthcare pricing platform that includes a new chatbot and prescription drug comparison tools aimed at helping residents compare medical costs.

Governor Mike Braun announced the updated system this week. The platform is now called "Indiana Health Prices."

According to the state, the system combines hospital cash pricing information, insurance claims data, provider-submitted pricing data, and prescription drug comparison resources into a single public platform.

State officials say the new chatbot is designed to help users search healthcare pricing information, estimate costs, and navigate the database more easily.

The updated platform also includes links to prescription comparison resources such as Trump RX, Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company, and PatientRightsAdvocate.org tools.

Braun said the goal is to improve healthcare transparency and help Hoosiers compare prices before receiving care.
