(HAMMOND) - Indiana State Police have issued a statewide Amber Alert for a missing 6-month-old girl believed to have been abducted from northwest Indiana.
Police are searching for Devaeyah Lucas Bell, who was last seen at approximately 4:20 a.m. Thursday in Hammond.
Authorities describe Devaeyah as having black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and brown pants.
Investigators believe the infant may be with 31-year-old Deandry Sabbs.
Sabbs is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 208 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police have not released information about what he may be wearing.
Authorities say Sabbs may be driving a gray four-door Nissan sedan with Illinois license plates.
