(ANGOLA) - A Steuben County Sheriff's Office deputy has been recognized for his work in local schools.
Deputy and School Resource Officer Bill Lanoue received the Indiana School Resource Officers Association's Region 3 School Resource Officer of the Year Award during the organization's recent conference in Michigan City.
Lanoue currently serves as a school resource officer for the Metropolitan School District of Steuben County. According to the Sheriff's Office, he was nominated by the school district for his outstanding performance and exceptional service.
Sheriff Rodney Robinson congratulated Lanoue on the honor and thanked him for his continued service to the Metropolitan School District of Steuben County and the citizens of Steuben County.
