GARRETT, Ind. (WLKI)- One driver was taken to a hospital Sunday after a two-vehicle collision at a DeKalb County intersection left a vehicle resting on its side.

The crash occurred about 1:36 p.m. Nov. 1 at County Roads 7 and 54, according to a report from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said an eastbound driver stopped at the intersection and looked for approaching traffic but failed to see a vehicle traveling south on County Road 7.

The eastbound driver entered the intersection, and the vehicles collided, according to the report. The impact pushed the southbound vehicle onto an embankment, where it came to rest on its side.

The driver of that vehicle was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center. The report provided did not describe the driver's injuries or condition.

The drivers' names were not included in the information released. The report also did not identify the vehicles' makes and models.

Sgt. Ben Browand handled the crash investigation for the sheriff's office.

DeKalb Central Communications, Parkview EMS, the Garrett Fire Department and the Garrett Police Department assisted.
