(CAMDEN TOWNSHIP) - Several people were injured, including two seriously, after a pickup truck struck a horse-drawn Amish buggy Sunday afternoon in Hillsdale County.

The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened on Mead Road, north of West Territorial Road, in Camden Township. Deputies say a southbound pickup driven by 31-year-old Jarret Wolford of Montgomery struck a southbound Amish buggy carrying 32-year-old Henry Graber, 31-year-old Katheryn Graber, and five juveniles.

Henry Graber suffered serious injuries and was airlifted by ProMedica Air Ambulance to Michigan Medicine for treatment. One juvenile was flown by Life Flight of Wauseon, Ohio to Mott Children’s Hospital in Flint, while another child was taken by the Reading Emergency Unit to Hillsdale Hospital. The remaining occupants were treated for injuries.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Michigan State Police, Montgomery Fire Department, Camden Fire Department, Steuben County EMS, and the Reading Emergency Unit.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office.
