(ANGOLA) - Students transferring from community colleges and other accredited institutions now have a guaranteed pathway to admission at Trine University.

The university announced its new Guaranteed Transfer Admission Program, known as GTAP, which ensures admission for students who have earned an associate degree or completed at least 24 transferable credit hours from an accredited institution. Eligible students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher, complete coursework equivalent to Trine's general education requirements, and remain in good academic and disciplinary standing. Trine officials say the program is designed to remove uncertainty for students looking to continue their education and earn a bachelor's degree.

"Students who have already excelled at the community college level benefit greatly from the additional career and educational opportunities provided by earning a bachelor's degree," said Kim Bennett, Trine's vice president for enrollment management. "This initiative provides a clear, assured pathway to affordable, high-quality education and advanced degree completion at Trine." In addition to guaranteed admission, GTAP allows students to transfer up to 90 credit hours toward a bachelor's degree. Participants also receive personalized academic advising and access to Trine's transfer scholarships, including merit-based awards of up to $20,000 per year.
