(LAGRANGE) – Fun for the entire family is waiting for you as the 2024 LaGrange County 4-H gets underway today.
There’s plenty to see and do over the next several days at the Fairgrounds, after a year of planning and prepping. Longtime Fair Board member Ken Martin says no matter what comes up, the Fair always seems ready to go. LINKC.
There are many of the annual events and activities happening at the Fair this year. But Tammy Kauffman says there are also some new events. LINKD.
The Fair opens to the public at 12 PM today. Also at 12 PM the Petting Zoo will be open as will the Kidz Zone with plenty of free activities, games and crafts.
There will be multiple shows with Rocketman Valencia, the Royal Hanneford Circus and the Flying Wallendas throughout the day.
There will be a glass blowing showcase starting at 2:30 PM. At 4 PM the Recognition Ceremonies will begin at the Pavilion.
At 7 PM the IPL truck and tractor pulls will get underway in the Grandstand. This is a free show.
Sunday events include the Brighton Chapel Worship Service at 10:30 AM on the Free Stage. The Petting Zoo opens at 12 PM, and the Elkhart County Garden Tractor Pullers will be in action in the Grandstand at 12 PM as well.
The LaGrange County Queen Contest starts at 2 PM on the Free Stage and at 4 PM will be the Pedal Pulls at the Pavilion. From 4 PM until 6 PM will be the ice cream eating contest, the pie baking contest and the butter carving contest, all on the Free Stage.
The Parade will step off at 5 PM and at the same time the Classic Car Show will get underway in the north lot.
The day ends with the Fireworks Display at 10:15 PM.
