(BRONSON) – Tuesday was a short day for Bronson Community Schools students.
Bronson Superintendent Kate Wall says overnight, the District was informed that unidentified individuals entered the Bronson Jr./Sr. High School and were in the building for a significant amount of time, covering multiple areas of the building. These facts raise concern about their intent.
Wall says after conferring with law enforcement, they cleared an area of the buildings and students were held there until they were able to be dismissed. That includes not only students at the Jr./Sr. High School but also Ryan Elementary School and Anderson Elementary School.
In addition, morning career center students were dismissed late. Afternoon career students are able to go to the center, but District transportation will not be available.
Wall says the District will use the rest of the day to secure all of the facilities and will be sure to keep the community updated.
