(FORT WAYNE) – Two Fort Wayne women have been arrested on charges related to human sex trafficking.
The Indiana State Police Special Investigation Detectives and the Bluffton Police Department say they are investigating a case that happened in Allen County and Marion County.
21 year old Leticia Granados and 20 year old Harley Cooley are both accused of recruiting a child for the purpose of sex trafficking. The child had been recovered by family members who reported the trafficking to law enforcement, which then started a months long investigation.
On February 20, investigators served a search warrant at an address on Franklin Avenue in Fort Wayne. While serving the warrant, another human trafficking victim was found. Officers also found an amount of suspected fentanyl at the home.
Granados and Cooley are each charged with two felony counts of promotion of human sex trafficking of a child and a felony county of child exploitation, production of child pornography.
With the cooperation of the initial victim it was determined that Granados and Cooley were involved in online solicitation of the child and themselves. It was also discovered there are other victims involved.
Indiana State Police are still actively seeking out other victims. If anyone has information regarding this case, they are asked to contact the ISP Post in Fort Wayne at 260-432-8661.
