(COLDWATER TOWNSHIP) – Fire did significant damage to a Coldwater Township home.
The Coldwater Fire Department along with the Bronson, Quincy, Union City and Lakeland Fire Departments were called to 270 North Lake Drive at 6:10 PM Tuesday for a structure fire. Crews arrives and saw heavy fire and smoke coming from the residence.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in 40 minutes.
Coldwater Fire Marshal Steve Trall says the fire was electrical in nature. Damage to the home, owned by Tyler Pothoff was estimated at $150,000 to the home itself and $50,000 to its contents and personal items.
Also assisting at the scene were the Branch County Sheriff’s Department and Branch County Victims Services.
