(TEMPE, AZ) - The Trine University women’s triathlon team continued their impressive run, earning a top-two finish at the Collegiate Triathlon National Championships for the fifth straight season. The Thunder secured second place in the 2025 edition of the race, led by a podium performance from Grace Huisman. North Central College once again claimed the Division III national title, tallying 450 points. Trine followed in second with 392 points, while Central College took third with 272. In the overall standings, Arizona captured the team title, with host Arizona State finishing second.
Huisman clocked a time of 1:11:22.1 to earn a third-place individual finish, finishing just over a minute behind the top two competitors from North Central. Mia Griesmeyer was Trine’s second finisher at 1:13:35.1, and Lia Bartholomew followed in 1:14:49.0.
Rounding out the team’s scorers, Tessa Szymanski posted a 1:18:48.4, and Alyssa Seiter finished in 1:20:59.9. Carmen Blaine (1:23:46.6) and Paige Aselage (1:24:38.5) completed the Thunder’s strong showing at the national meet.
