(ELKHART) - Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate a missing mother and her young daughter who were last seen in early January.
Police say Leevyi D. Alvarez Solis, 44, and her 8-year-old daughter, Salome Martinez Alvarez, were last seen in Elkhart and have since been reported missing. Investigators have not released details about the circumstances surrounding their disappearance but say the case remains under active investigation.
Detectives are following up on tips and urge anyone with information about the pair's whereabouts to come forward.
