(MUNCIE) - An 18-year-old Muncie woman is facing preliminary felony charges after investigators say a 16-year-old was struck by an SUV following a fight at a house party.

Police say the incident happened March 7 on South Hoyt Avenue as the teen was leaving the party.

Authorities allege the teen was hit by a black Honda Pilot, and investigators later traced the vehicle to the suspect's family.

Witnesses told police the driver intentionally targeted the teenager, and investigators say a passenger later identified Chloe Pugh, 18, as the driver.

Police also say someone inside the vehicle allegedly yelled for the teen to be hit.

Pugh is facing preliminary charges of battery with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony, and criminal recklessness, a Level 6 felony.

The Delaware County Prosecutor's Office will now review the case to determine whether formal charges will be filed.

Authorities have not released the teen's condition.
