(AUBURN) - The DeKalb County Department of Emergency Management is making sand and sandbags available to residents as flooding concerns continue across the county.

The supplies are being offered through a self-service site at the Auburn Parks and Recreation Office, located across from the recycling drop-off area.

Emergency officials say residents should bring the proper tools and a vehicle capable of loading and transporting filled sandbags.

The move comes after heavy rain earlier this week led to widespread flooding across northeast Indiana, with more storms still possible through the weekend.

Officials also note that multiple waterways are expected to crest Sunday or Monday.

A Flood Warning remains in effect for DeKalb County.
