(FORT WAYNE) - A major donation is supporting animal care efforts in Fort Wayne.
The Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show presented a $25,000 donation to Humane Fort Wayne during an event Friday morning at the shelter on Leesburg Road.
Officials say the donation will support Humane Fort Wayne's work caring for animals and assisting pet owners.
The funding will help provide basic medical care, food and supplies, and other services for animals in the community.
Organizers say the donation is part of an ongoing effort to support local nonprofits. Since 2020, the Home and Garden Show has contributed a total of $135,000 to charitable partners.
