(ELKHART) – Authorities have released the name of the motorcycle driver that was killed in a crash.
The Elkhart Police Department says the man is 47 year old Tevorri Hawkins of Goshen.
The crash happened Thursday at 5:30 PM at the intersection of Middlebury and Prairie Streets.
According to investigators, Hawkins was driving his motorcycle and crashed into the passenger side of an SUV that was turning left from Middlebury Street onto Prairie Street. Hawkins received serious injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 24 year old man, was not seriously injured.
The crash is still under investigation.
