(ELKHART COUNTY) – One person is dead and another is in custody following a two vehicle crash in Northern Indiana.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says 55 year old Franklin Herington was driving west on County Road 20 early Monday morning when he hit an eastbound vehicle that turned in front of him to go into a driveway.
Herington was taken to a Fort Wayne Hospital, and died Monday night from his injuries.
Authorities arrested 30 year old Angelina Valente after she failed a field sobriety test and was found to be in possession of marijuana.
She is charged with operating while intoxicated causing death.
