(ELKHART COUNTY) - A Goshen woman is facing charges after police say she caused a crash while high that resulted in the death of a 17 year old girl.
Elkhart County Authorities say 54 year old Jodi Nagle was taken to jail on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated causing death under the influence of cannabis.
The crash happened just after 3 PM Tuesday at the intersection of State Road 15 and County Road 26.
Investigators say Nagle was pulling out of a private drive in a Ford Mustang when she failed to yield to a Kawasaki Ninja that was heading north on State Road 15. The motorcycle hit the Mustang, causing the 17 year old motorcyclist to be ejected.
The driver of the motorcycle, Amelia Sneddon of Goshen, died from her injuries at the scene. Nagle was not injured.
